Thinking Room
Talking with Dell and Aaron, we were thinking how cool it would be to have a room covered with white boards. There is paint that you can put on walls that makes them into a big white board. Then we though what if a person made the walls into rear projection screens that had overlays. What do you think? How would you make it?
Project Bucket List
As I have discussed with my friends, one of my goals is to improve my documentation. In doing so, I thought it would be wise to create a Projects Bucket List, this way I can hopefully stay on track. Currently there are 5 projects on this list that have been started. I have a tendency to get half way through one project then start another.
Radio – Audio Interface Unit
Using your computer’s sound card to do digital modes over ham radio, you will need an Audio Interface Unit. Here you will see my design goals for my new interface unit. I will include a schematic and other documentation as the project progresses.
Air Variable Capacitors
Building my first Air Variable Capacitor, my goals and what steps I am taking.
Used Components Can See New Life
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Before throwing away some old parts, books, or magazines ask around to see if any one else would want it.
DIY Air Variable Capacitor Part 1
Published on Sep 7, 2013 – Today at Think Schematics we are cutting the rotor and stator plates for a Air Variable Capacitor using a CNC router. The plates we designed using CamBam and then transferred to the CNC that is running EMC2 (now known as Linux CNC).
Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Jig for CNC Router
This is my first project with my new CNC Router (v3.0). This is a jig to hold PCBs as they are being etched. The PCBs will be held down by double face fiberglass carpet tape.
Screwdriver Antenna Controller
Dell-Ray and I are currently building an Arduino-powered screwdriver antenna controller. Check out our current status on Facebook!
Electronic Workbench
Every ham radio operator that builds equipment needs a work bench. Here I am throwing some ideas together. I will post more when I start building the bench.
